SYZ Studios creates books, art, and educational content for audiences across Asia and the United States. Our mission is to promote understanding of Chinese cultural traditions in a contemporary global context.

SYZ Studios was founded in 2019 by Yong Liu 刘墉 and his daughter Yvonne Liu 刘倚帆 in New York. The company is named after our studio and publishing house in Taipei, 水雲齋 (Shui Yun Zhai), which translates to “House of Water and Clouds.”

鳶尾花有個浪漫的名字是「愛麗絲（Iris）」，據說來自希臘神話中的彩虹女神，我很小的時候就喜歡鳶尾，那是小品種的，六片花瓣，三瓣朝上有艷紫色的花紋，三瓣朝下帶著暗紅色的虎斑，最近查書才知道她們另外有個名字是「會走路的愛麗絲」，因為長長的花莖，花開之後，花莖下垂到地上，就直接生根，彷彿會走路似的。
